Nitipong Selanon is a small but speedy player who can play anywhere along the right side. When he arrived at Port he played predominantly as a winger, but his main role is now as a right back. In 2017 he dislodged Meechok as first choice right back and made huge improvements to his game, ultimately going on to defy expectations and earn a spot in the T1 team of the season. In 2018 Nitipong improved still further, winning The Sandpit Writers’ Player of the Year for his consistent performances throughout the season, and in 2019 he broke in to the Thai national team before winning our popular vote to be named The Sandpit’s Player of the Year.
