Rattanai Songsangchan joined Port in 2016. The young goalkeeper was given an opportunity to play in the League Cup and FA Cup, and impressed so much with his razor sharp shot-stopping that by the end of the season he was undisputed first choice at Port, as well as representing Thailand at under 23 level. Rattanai has predominantly been Port’s first choice stopper over the last 2 seasons, but has missed a huge chunk of games with recurring injuries. With Watchara having impressed in the 2018 run-in and Worawut having worked his way in to the national team reckoning, Rattanai faces a real battle to keep his place in Port’s first XI in 2019.
