Sansern Limwattana is a young central midfielder who joined Port from Bangkok United in 2019. As a teenager Sansern had his football education in New Zealand, training with a semi-pro team before joining top-tier Waitakere Utd in 2014. From there he moved to Sriracha, before being snapped up by Buriram. Sansern failed to break in to the champions’ first team squad, then moved to Bangkok United. He had a little more luck there, but after two consecutive loan spells he has decided to move on once again. He has turned out regularly for Thai national youth teams in recent years, and seems to be a good prospect. After making 1 start in his first 6 months with Port, Sansern was loaned out to Ayutthaya FC for regular playing time. He returned to Port in 2020, but seems to once again be well down the midfield pecking order.
