Tanaboon Kesarat is a versatile defensive player who is a Thailand national team regular, and has signed for Port for the second leg of the 2019 season. Capable of doing a job in central defence or defensive midfield, Tanaboon is highly rated by many Thai football pundits. In recent seasons, however, he has suffered from recurring injuries, the first of which was sustained after a crunching tackle from former Port midfielder Atthipol at PAT Stadium. Since leaving Muangthong in 2016, Port will be his third club in as many years. Tanaboon is unlikely to get a place in Port’s first choice midfield, with Go well established in defensive midfield, Siwakorn in top form. However, if the rumours about Rochela being dropped for the second leg of 2019 are true, a new-look defence could involve Tanaboon going straight in to the first XI alongside Dolah.
