Tawin Mahajindawong is a young midfielder who has joined Port from OHL Leuven for the second leg of the 2020 season. Tawin trained with Leicester City coaches as part of the Fox Hunt program before being selected to sign for OHL Leuven in Belgium, where he would continue his footballing education. Fellow Thais Anon, Somprasong and Jirattikan all followed the same path before failing to make enough of an impression to stay on at Port, but Tawin is reportedly the best of the bunch, as evidenced by the fact that he stayed much longer, and even managed an appearance for the Belgian club’s reserves.
Whether Tawin has what it takes to break in to Port’s current first team plans is another question, though. There is plenty of competition in midfield, but I think there is a chance the youngster could find himself in some match day squads if he impresses in training.
