Worawut Namvech rose to prominence in 2017 as he played a starring role in the Thailand under 23 SEA Games campaign. Worawut received high praise for his performances, which saw Thailand concede just a single goal in 7 matches. The youngster signed with Port from Chiang Rai in 2018, but initially struggled for game time before being loaned out to Chiang Mai in 2019.

Having looked a little out of shape and out of sorts the few times he was given opportunities, Worawut was expected to play little part in 2020, but an injury crisis catapulted him in to the team and he has seized the opportunity with some excellent defensive displays. Having finally shown what he’s capable of, Worawut should play a significant role in Port’s defence going forward.
